A bit more detail

I started on the ocean as first mate on a 37-foot monohull, from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean. Later I skippered a Lagoon 45 from the Caribbean to Gibraltar via the Azores, looking after boat preparation, crew organisation, weather, routing and every decision along the way. I have delivered boats such as a Lagoon 42 from Antigua to Grenada, and sailed from Greece to Cabo Verde as co-skipper and instructor with the Malingri Team, on a five-week expedition with up to eight students, teaching heavy-weather sailing and celestial navigation, among other things. These are some of the passages, and there are more.

Two heavy seasons across most of the Caribbean islands, on charter catamarans between 45 and 47 feet, including the Lagoon 45 and the Fountaine Pajot 47. Guests, navigation, anchoring, manoeuvres, logistics and safety on board, week after week. Many of those islands are remote, with no technicians nearby, so you learn to sort things out yourself. I learned mechanics, I learned to troubleshoot, and I learned that there is always a solution and always a way to get the trip done.
In the Mediterranean I have skippered catamarans and monohulls on sailing and kitesurfing charters in Sardinia and Corsica, and one of those trips marked the launch of Stoke Ventures, my own sailing and adventure brand. In 2026 I also took a Sun Odyssey 40 from the Canary Islands via Madeira and Morocco to Mallorca, as skipper within a flotilla.

Catamarans from 42 to 50 feet, monohulls such as the Sun Odyssey 54, Baltic 51 and Hallberg-Rassy 35, a 36 m superyacht as lead deckhand on the Tamer II, and an Axopar 37 as tender skipper.
Off the water, I work professionally as a photographer and videographer, capturing expeditions and creating photo and video content for boat owners and charter companies. I am also an IKO kitesurf and wingfoil instructor and a certified yoga teacher, and I speak Spanish, Italian and English, with some French.

Born and raised in Tarifa, the wind capital of Europe, where the Mediterranean and the Atlantic meet. The Levante and the Poniente, the east and west winds, have shaped my life on the water since I was a kid.
I started sailing at ten in an Optimist, then moved on to Lasers and Hobie Cats, and learned from my father, who is a captain too. After exploring other paths as a young adult, I decided to give myself fully to the sea and to sailing.
It's not just a job. It's how I live.
Crossing an ocean, a calm week at anchor, or learning a new sport while I film it. Every experience is different, and I like it that way. Tell me about yours.
